Pharmacists are highly-trained to offer advice and can supply over-the-counter medicines particularly for common problems such as colds, coughs, aches, pains and skin problems. Ask for a private consultation if you would like to be seen in their consulting room.
Telephone NHS 111 if you have an urgent medical problem that cannot wait until the Surgery re-opens. They offer medical advice and, if necessary, arrange GP support out of hours 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Integrated Urgent Care Hub – Open 9am to 6pm every day (APPOINTMENT ONLY – NOT A WALK IN SERVICE)
The Integrated Urgent Care Hub treats urgent but not life-threatening health conditions. It offers appointments between 9am and 6pm, seven days a week and provides access to diagnostic services such as x-rays. Patients are booked into the service, often with same day appointments, through NHS 111 or their GP practice. It is not a walk-in service. Hemel Hempstead Urgent Treatment Centre is open 08:00 – 22:00 daily for injuries which are not life-threatening (and illnesses that must be treated by a GP). The UTC is based at Hemel Hempstead Hospital, Hillfield Road, Hemel Hempstead HP2 4AD.
Watford General Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre is open 08:00 - 02:00 every day. The UTC is based at Watford General Hospital, Vicarage Road, Watford, WD18 0HB.
